Ash Dieback

Ash Dieback is a highly infectious fungal disease (Also known as ‘Chalara’) and it’s presence could destroy Ireland’s population of ash trees.

Untreated trees eventually die within five years or less and worst of all, the plants disease is so infectious its often passes onto healthy trees.

This is caused by a fungal disease that make the tree lose its leaves and scientists believe the problem originated from Asia.

Some trees develop 100% immunity from Ash Dieback disease, and some very smart people are trying to figure out this resistance to hopefully find a cure.
